How I Planned a Romantic Themed Alberta Wedding in Less Than 2 Weeks

Anyone who is planning a wedding, or anyone who has in the past, knows that wedding planning is A LOT of work. It’s not all cake tastings and pretty dresses, as the details start to stack up so does the pressure.

Like many things that start with the simplest intentions, this stylized wedding went from the design of one image to a full on wedding in just under 72 hours.  So where did it all start? Pinterest of course! After just fifteen minutes I had a shared board with Tracy Irwin from Sugar by Tracy, over 50 inspirational pins, multiple contributors and, not one, but two elegant romantic themed wedding shoots were born.

Over the years I have learned that, while I am good at a lot of things, there’s nothing like a pro. So we gathered a group of Alberta wedding vendors whom I would recommend to my best friends and voila, we had everything from stunning bridal gowns to gold-plated flatware in under 2 weeks.

So how do you go from a Pinterest board full of gorgeous wedding details to a real wedding that looks like it belongs on someone else’s wedding inspiration board?

I asked the vendors a list of the most commonly asked questions from brides and they shared their industry knowledge. Over the next few weeks I’ll be sharing their answers along with all the images from these wedding shoots here.
